Refund & Return Policy for HyperBuilds.ca

At HyperBuilds.ca, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our custom-built PCs. Because each system is custom-configured and built to order, we have established the following policy regarding returns and refunds.
1. No "Change of Mind" Returns
In accordance with the Saskatchewan Consumer Protection and Business Practices Act, HyperBuilds.ca is not required to accept returns or provide refunds for "change of mind," buyer's remorse, or finding a cheaper price elsewhere. Please review your custom specifications carefully before finalizing your order.
2. Limited Return Window (Discretionary)
At our sole discretion, we may authorize a return for a non-defective, custom-built PC within 14 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a discretionary return:
The PC must be in "like-new" condition with no signs of use or damage.
All original packaging, internal foam (Instapak), accessories, and manuals must be included.
You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from us before shipping the unit back.
3. 20% Restocking Fee
All authorized "change of mind" or discretionary returns are subject to a 20% Restocking Fee. This fee is non-negotiable and covers:
Non-refundable merchant transaction fees (including Stripe and Affirm fees).
Labor costs for hardware inspection, stress testing, and data sanitization (wiping the drive).
Depreciation of hardware once it is no longer in "factory new" condition.
4. Defective Goods & Statutory Warranty
If your PC is defective or does not match the description on your invoice, we will honor all statutory warranties under Saskatchewan law.
Repair/Replace: We will first attempt to repair the defect or replace the faulty component at no cost to you.
Shipping: HyperBuilds.ca will cover ground shipping costs for confirmed warranty repairs within the first 30 days of ownership.
Exclusion: This warranty does not cover accidental damage, unauthorized hardware modifications, or software/virus-related issues caused by the user.
5. Final Sale Items
The following items are strictly Final Sale and cannot be returned for any reason other than a manufacturer defect:
Custom-ordered components not normally kept in stock.
Software licenses (e.g., Windows keys) once activated.
Peripherals (Mice, Keyboards, Headsets) for hygiene and health reasons.
Shipping and handling fees.
6. How to Initiate a Return
To request a return or report a defect, please email [Your Business Email] with your Order Number and a detailed description of the issue. Do not ship any items back to HyperBuilds.ca without an approved RMA number.
